In response to the first national lockdown of the COVID-19 crisis, we wanted to help — in a modest way — to bring the outdoors in.

Sunday Sessions Podcast

We introduced our first podcast, in which Becky Downing featured the work of, and talked to, a contemporary writer; and spoke to members of the creative industry to discover how they were coping during the crisis. The series included interviews with the liks of Rod Dixon from Red Ladder and Alan Lane from Slung Low.

Daily Poem

Once a day, a member of the UK’s creative community read a poem which captured, evoked, imitated and celebrated the natural world and the great outdoors.

Studies have shown that poetry can have significant therapeutic qualities. It is important to have small breathers, and brief windows of calm, when stress, anxiety and worry can become overwhelming.
